Most hard tennis courts are constructed using open-textured macadam, a durable tarmac surface typically laid to a depth of 30–50mm. Beneath this lies a 14mm stone base that allows free drainage, ensuring the court remains playable throughout most of the year.
For projects requiring additional strength or longevity, an extra open-textured macadam base course can be installed. This enhances stability, durability, and overall performance — making it ideal for high-usage courts in schools, clubs, and private facilities.
